Every law firm has proprietary standard contracts, customized caveats, and tried-and-tested precedent templates developed over decades of practice.
The MtaaLex Template Vault lets your firm store, version, and auto-populate these standard precedents.
How to Upload a Firm Template
- In the sidebar, navigate to Vault & Documents.
- Click on the Templates tab.
- Click + Upload Template.
- Upload your template file (supported formats:
.docx,.pdf, or rich text). - Specify:
- Template Title (e.g., Standard Agreement for Sale of Land - 2024).
- Practice Area (e.g., Conveyancing).
- Description & Instructions for Associates.
Using Merge Tags for Automated Document Generation
You can place dynamic placeholders inside your Word templates that MtaaLex will automatically replace with client and case data:
: Inserts client full name or company name.: Inserts National ID or Incorporation number.: Inserts official court case number.: Inserts court station name.: Inserts your law firm's legal name.: Inserts current date formatted as 12th September 2026.
When an advocate selects the template from inside a Case File, MtaaLex generates a finished contract in one click with zero copy-paste errors.
