Law Firm Template Vault

Every law firm has proprietary standard contracts, customized caveats, and tried-and-tested precedent templates developed over decades of practice.

The MtaaLex Template Vault lets your firm store, version, and auto-populate these standard precedents.

How to Upload a Firm Template

  1. In the sidebar, navigate to Vault & Documents.
  2. Click on the Templates tab.
  3. Click + Upload Template.
  4. Upload your template file (supported formats: .docx, .pdf, or rich text).
  5. Specify:
    • Template Title (e.g., Standard Agreement for Sale of Land - 2024).
    • Practice Area (e.g., Conveyancing).
    • Description & Instructions for Associates.

Using Merge Tags for Automated Document Generation

You can place dynamic placeholders inside your Word templates that MtaaLex will automatically replace with client and case data:

  • : Inserts client full name or company name.
  • : Inserts National ID or Incorporation number.
  • : Inserts official court case number.
  • : Inserts court station name.
  • : Inserts your law firm's legal name.
  • : Inserts current date formatted as 12th September 2026.

When an advocate selects the template from inside a Case File, MtaaLex generates a finished contract in one click with zero copy-paste errors.
