What is a Prompt?
In simple terms, a prompt is simply the instruction, question, or background you type into MtaaLex AI to tell it what work you want done.
You do not need to learn computer code, programming languages, or technical formulas to prompt effectively.
THE JUNIOR PUPIL ANALOGY
Think of a prompt as instructions you give to a newly admitted pupil in your law firm.
If you walk into a pupil's office and say:
"Draft a defense."
The pupil will be confused: Which court? Who are the parties? What did the Plaintiff allege? Do we admit breach? Are there counterclaims? What is the deadline?
However, if you sit down and provide the brief:
"The plaintiff is suing our client for Ksh 4.5 million alleging breach of a supply contract. Our client acknowledges signing the agreement, but the timber delivered was wet, sub-standard, and rejected upon inspection at our warehouse. Draft a Statement of Defense disputing liability and counterclaiming for Ksh 800,000 incurred in return transport costs."
